C in the Park

Can’t wait till T in the Park or can’t afford a ticket?

Well get down to C in the Park, Kilsyth’s £3 festival.

Taking its namesake from the C of Cancer Research, profits from the festival go towards this and other charities.

If that’s not reason enough to attend, then the range of music should twist your arm.

With George Bowie headlining, DJs range from happy hardcore to trance fanatics.

Bringing a bit of techno to the crowd is Aberdeen old hand, DJ Kidzer.

He said: “I am really looking forward to playing; I am going to mix a bit of techo and hard dance, maybe throw in a bit of club classics.”

If dance isn’t your thing then the live bands, dancers, entertainment and food stalls will provide plenty distraction.

Running on May 25 from 11am to 10pm, the park paths are open to all ages.

As open spaces go, Kilsyth’s Colzium Estate provides green fields aplenty to soak in the atmosphere.

Located on Stirling Road, the Colzium is just thirty minutes’ drive from Glasgow city centre.

DJ Kidzer said: “Everyone should come along; it’s going to be a great Saturday.

“You can come in for a couple of hours or you can stay the whole day.

“It’s only three pound donation for adults to get in and it always feels good doing something for charity.”
